Many individuals have inquired regarding activating the Treo 180 with a wireless carrier other than T-Mobile.  The Treo 180 is a industry-standard GSM/GPRS wireless device and should work with most GSM/GPRS carriers, however you need to check with your carrier first.  (See Help)

NOTE:  These unlock instructions are specific to the units sold through our company.  A matching IMEI number is necessary to obtain the proper "unlock" code specific to that unit. 

If you insert a SIM card into the network-locked Treo 180, you will see the dialog as shown here.

Don't worry - you CAN use this phone with your service provider's SIM card.  There are only three steps to this entire process - and we've made it very easy for you. 

The first step to complete this “unlock” procedure is to determine your phone’s IMEI number. This number can be located be removing the SIM cover on the bottom rear of your TREO 180. Simply pull the clip (on the left hand side), and remove this cover.

Inside the Treo there is a white label and the IMEI number should be clearly labeled as shown here:

Once you have located this number, please enter it into the box below, then repeat in the second box to ensure you have entered it correctly, then click “SUBMIT.”

If the “SUBMIT” button is not “clickable,” your IMEI number does not match in both boxes – please re-enter.  (See Help for more information)

Only your cellullar provider can tell you if the Treo 180 is compatible with your service. 

Use with some carriers may require a software download to update the programming on the unit for that specific carrier.  Check with your carrier or on your carrier's website.
